About Me
I am an author. Most of my novels were published in Bangla. My fiction spans multiple genres — fantasy, crime, adventure, comedy, western, science fiction, and the supernatural — because I have never seen a good reason to stay in one lane. I believe the best stories are the ones that surprise the writer as much as the reader.
My first novel, আষাঢ়ে গল্প, came out in 2014. Since then I have published few more novels, a short story collection, co-edited a supernatural anthology, and contributed a sci-fi novella to a multi-author collection. I have also worked with multiple authors in different short story collections. The শত্রু series — a Bangla western — is something I am particularly attached to, and there is more of it to come.
Alongside fiction, I write features. My column অ্যানিমে-কথন runs in Kishor-Alo, where I have been writing about Japanese animation for several years. I have also contributed to রহস্য পত্রিকা, one of Bangladesh's oldest monthly magazines. My professional background includes software development, digital advertisement operations, technical writing. Technical writing is much different from fiction writing; it is its own discipline — precise, purposeful, and underrated.
Outside writing: I watch a lot of anime (you will see the evidence on this site), I read fiction in Bangla and English, I play video games when time allows, and I follow more ongoing manga than is probably wise!
This site is my personal record — of what I have been working on or published, what I have read and watched, and what I think about the media or games I have consumed.
